Practicing What "I" Preach - S.M. Bjarnson CHt

People will think we are crazy. Most common folk do this, think anybody with a dream, or the gumption to go after it is beyond ridiculous. It is not about them though, or their thoughts and concerns. It is about us and our own belief that creates our outcome.
Have you ever heard that saying, “Practice What You Preach?” I know many of you are thinking more along the lines of hypocritical notions. In this case I am talking about living your passion and purpose.
I am currently on track to graduate as Holistic Wellness Practitioner and have already gotten certifications that compliment my expertise. I feel I am on the road to be purposeful with my passion. So, how do I translate to you about dropping everything right now, this very moment and believe that you can be successful and live happily?
This is where the quote comes in, how I can I show you it will work out? How can I test my method of belief? I am a stay at home mom, full time college student. Oh wait! I have a husband, he has a job that isn’t being true to his passion, and his purpose.
The experiment as you might have guessed is for my husband to quit his job. What? Quit his job? What about money? How will you pay your bills? How will you pay rent? Buy food? Pay for your phone? Whoa…just calm down for a minute. I am not asking you to go live on the moon. The idea though is riveting and exciting.
Well, this time of year is perfect, because tax season, means tax returns and that will help with no additional income coming our way. How do you do this? You trust. Not only trust, but also blind faith, courage and a little fear.
We have set a deadline date, and his last day of work is March 31st. I will continue to report upon this as we discover the troubles, challenges, and rewards. I want you all to know, it is not easy for my husband to do this. It will not be easy for us to depend on my business, just starting up. Relying on the attraction of positive energy. But, it is something I feel we personally have to do, to be an example to you and others we hope to reach.
Most importantly to ourselves. To prove we can make a living off living our dreams.

Wishes of Wellness,
S.M. Bjarnson CHt

How I got into hypnotherapy? S.M. Bjarnson

People often ask about how I got into hypnosis. It seems like an odd question, and I will give you the answer. Individuals are often skeptical about what I practice, because it is unfamiliar to them and because it is foreign.
When you think of hypnosis you think of a hypnotist, dangling a watch in front of your face, or making you look like a complete fool in front of an audience of strangers.
In the work I do, I am not out to cast embarrassment upon your poor soul. No, quite the opposite.
In my daunting youth, I suffered from severe suicidal depression. Depression isn’t easy and it makes a person reclusive. Some say they are selfish and in many ways yes, but in other ways, they are battling with a hatred of self-worth you cannot even conceive. Creates negative influence on a person that are unhealthy and limit growth. It was not until a wise counselor taught me self-hypnosis techniques that I really learned about healing from within.
This illness, condition, whatever you associate it with, is serious and should not be brushed off with a careless heart. In my personal history, there were too many close calls, too many situations that invaded my thinking to the point where I assumed life was not worth living.
Now I had this as a teenager, and during this time, you of course are going through hormones, feelings and other odd physical and mental situations that are uncomfortable and a struggle. One of the other things that happens during this era of adolescence is that you are trying to find out who you are or are beginning too.
What happens when you realize you don’t like this high school version of yourself? What happens when you come into awareness that maybe you are letting others control you, and you are being pulled around in some puppet show?
You come to a point where you don’t know what is up or down. What is right or what is wrong. You simply are, and when you simply have an emptiness in you, a nothingness exists, it is hard to even comprehend happiness. It is difficult to imagine joy or being accepted for who you are or who your ambitions want you to be.
So you want to know how I got into hypnosis. Well, I my answer for you is, because with self-hypnosis, I was able to talk my way out of depression and give myself purpose. With hypnosis I was able to believe in a better life for myself, one I created. Because with hypnotherapy I gave my mind suggestions to be able to hope and believe in a positive outcome.
